Setup and verification

Configuration: claude_desktop_config.json / mcpServers / JSON

Documentation reviewed: 2026-11-02. This is not a runtime test or security audit.

  1. Open Claude Settings > Developer > Edit Config.
  2. Merge generated mcpServers entries into claude_desktop_config.json. Install the required runtime separately.
  3. Save and fully restart Claude. Check server status and approve only the tools you intend to use.

This generator covers local STDIO servers. Remote connectors use a different setup flow.

Review every command and requested permission. Merge only the relevant server entries; do not overwrite unrelated settings. Keep credentials out of version control.
